Conditions for entry into Peru – Official information
These are the conditions for entering Peru and updated requirements to travel to Peru from June 12, 2022:
- Vaccination certificate or negative result of a molecular PCR test: Pursuant to DS 069-2022 PCM, Peruvians and foreign residents aged 18 years and over, whose final destination is the national territory as passengers and regardless of the country of origin, must prove that they have received the three (3) doses of vaccination against COVID-19 in Peru or abroad; Likewise, people between the ages of 12 and 17 must prove that they have received the first and second dose of vaccination against COVID-19 in Peru or abroad. Non-resident foreigners whose final destination is the national territory as passengers and regardless of the country of origin, must have the vaccination according to the scheme of their country of origin.
If they do not have the aforementioned vaccination, they can present a negative molecular test with a result date of no more than 48 hours before boarding at their point of origin. Children under 12 years of age only need to be asymptomatic to board. Those people who show symptoms upon arrival in the national territory enter mandatory isolation, according to regulations on the matter.
The National Health Authority is empowered to take diagnostic tests for COVID-19 for passengers arriving in the country, establishing complementary health measures for positive cases.
- Complete an online health affidavit: Any person entering the national territory must complete an online Health Affidavit within 72 hours prior to boarding. You can access the declaration through the following link: https://djsaludviajero.minsa.gob.pe/dj-salud/
- Mask use: The use of a KN95 mask, or failing that, a three-fold surgical mask and a community mask (cloth) on top of it, is mandatory to circulate on public roads and in closed places. In some departments, the use of masks could be optional in open spaces, as long as physical or bodily distancing is guaranteed, measures that could be modified according to the epidemiological context.
- Quarantine: Passengers entering Peru are not required to quarantine, except for those people who show symptoms when entering national territory, who will enter mandatory isolation. The National Health Authority is empowered to take molecular tests (PCR) to passengers arriving in the country establishing complementary health measures for positive cases among those from countries with cases of community infection by the variants of concern of COVID-19, or who have made a stopover in these places.
