Do I need a plf for turkey?
From the end of December 2020, all travelers must provide a negative PCR test result performed within 72 hours prior to their trip to Turkey. Travelers who do not present a negative PCR test for COVID will not be allowed to participate in the flight. Please note that this regulation does not apply to transit passengers or transshipment passengers.
Departing travelers to Turkey who are 6 years or older and who have traveled to Brazil or South Africa in the past 10 days will be required to submit a negative PCR test for COVID19 performed within 72 hours of arrival in Turkey. The latter will also have to carry out a 14-day quarantine in a facility designated by the Turkish authorities. Subsequently, the quarantine will be lifted if the Covid test is negative on the 10th day.
Travelers who have traveled to India within 10 days of their flight to Turkey will also be subject to a 14-day quarantine at a facility designated by the Turkish authorities. A COVID PCR test will be performed on the 14th day of quarantine and will be suspended if the result is negative.
Who is exempt from filing the plf?
Exempt: Flight attendants and merchant marine employees, who are not required to carry out COVID PCR tests and biweekly.
Mandatory forms: as of March 15, 2021, all travelers are required to complete the public health passenger location form within 72 hours prior to the departure of their flight. Then a code for email health monitoring (called HES code) will be assigned for the entire duration in Turkey. Travelers must present the paper or digital format through their mobile phone during check-in. We recommend that you keep a hard copy as well.
