Who can enter Spain with PLF

All international passengers, including European citizens, must complete the Health Tracking Form (FCS) online or in the SPTH app (downloadable from Google Play and App Store). The QR code generated after completing the form must be presented to the authorities upon arrival. Handwritten forms are no longer accepted. If the customer does not have an electronic device, the airline will need to help them complete the online form and obtain the QR code in paper format (plf spain).

When logging into the PLF Spain app, customers will need to indicate whether they have undergone the mandatory COVID 19 test or are in possession of a vaccination certificate. According to the ordinance of the Ministry of the Interior, entry into Spanish territory is limited to the following categories of travelers:

  • Residents in legal situation in the European Union, member states of the Schengen area, Andorra, Monaco, Vatican (the holy city) or San Marino, with supporting documents that show that they are on the way to this country.
    Holders of a long-term visa issued by a Member State or the Schengen area traveling to the country in question.
    Health professionals, in particular researchers and professionals who care for the elderly who travel to or from their workplace.
  • Personnel from the transport sector, seafarers and aeronautical personnel essential for air transport activities.
    Diplomatic, consular, international, military, civil protection and humanitarian personnel in the performance of their duties.
  • Students who have completed their studies in a Member State or a State associated with the Schengen area and are in possession of an appropriate long-term permit or visa, provided that they go to the country where they are studying and that entry takes place during the academic year or in the 15 days prior to it. If the destination is Spain and the duration of the stay is less than or equal to 90 days, it must be proven that the studies are carried out in an authorized educational institution, following a full-time program and in the place that leads to certification or graduation .
  • Highly qualified workers whose skills are essential and whose entry cannot be delayed, who cannot be exercised remotely, including participants in high-level sports competitions that take place in Spain. These circumstances must be supported by supporting documents.
  • People who travel for compelling family reasons duly authorized.
  • People who provide supporting documents in case of force majeure or urgent need, or whose entry is authorized for humanitarian reasons.
  • Ordinary residents of countries that do not present risk: on condition of traveling directly from these countries, having transited only in the other countries mentioned or having transited only through an international airport in the countries that do not appear on the list. Reciprocity for residents of China and Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions remains to be verified. This list is updated weekly.
  • People who provide a vaccination certificate and accompanying children under 12 years of age. Unvaccinated accompanying minors between the ages of 12 and 17 must also have a vaccination certificate. Vaccination certificates must be issued by the competent authorities of the country of departure and will be admissible provided that 14 days have elapsed since the administration of the last required dose of vaccine. Authorized vaccines are those recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and / or the World Health Organization (WHO) (subject to verification by the health authorities). The vaccination certificate must be written in English, Spanish, French or German. For other languages, it must be accompanied by a valid official translation.

Temporary restrictions apply to flights (direct or with stopovers) from airports located in Brazil or South Africa to an airport located in the Kingdom of Spain from March 26, 2021 to August 3, 2021.
